Lucy Looks Into A Wardrobe

Four children whose name were Lucy, Susan, Edmund and Peter. They were sent to a professor’s house because of the war. The professor lived in a big house near a post office, had no wife and lived with a housemaid named Mrs Macready, and three servants. (Whose names was Ivy, Margaret, and Betty though they do not come into the story at all.) When the four children arrived, they were led by Mrs Macready into the house. “Remember, no interrupting me when I’m showing the visitors around, okay?” she told them on the way. When they actually got there, they lay down on their beds. The next day Lucy wanted to play Hide-And-Seek. Lucy ran around the house, thinking where to go. She finally found a door that was open and decided to go in there. Inside there was nothing  but a big square thing that was covered in a cloth. She pulled down the cloth and found a wardrobe that was big and made out of some kind of oak tree. Then she opened the door and found herself running through coats. Then she felt herself step on something that crunched. She looked around and she was in snow. She saw a lamp-post so she went to that. And she heard… footsteps? She looked around but couldn’t see anything. But then she saw something and looked closer and it was a man who was half-man half-goat. He was holding parcels but then he dropped them. “Oh my!”
