Mr Percival

A big white pelican with a huge beak and black on the tips of his wings. He walks in a funny waddling way on land but flies beautifully.

He is one of the three pelicans Storm Boy rescues. He refuses to leave when the others fly away and becomes Storm Boy’s best friend. He helps rescue sailors during a storm by carrying a fishing line out to their boat.

He goes from a helpless baby bird to a hero. He shows that animals can be just as loyal as people.
