Sid is a kid who wants to go to an art school. He finds that he didn’t get a scholarship and needs more money. When he meets an octopus, everything changes. They make a deal and if Sid can take Otto the octopus to Rome so that he can sing opera, Otto will give Sid a map find the best fish. Then he can’t take Otto, so they have to get creative. They find a competition that rewards in money, (with the help of Dee, their friend) and enter it. Otto would sing as a piece of clothing that Sid would wear. When they don’t get the win, Sid has a great idea. They make money by Otto being their Opera Singing Octopus. When Sid does get in to the art school, they live happily ever after.

I like this book because the characters are based on sea creatures. (Sid octopus Dee octopus helper.) When something can’t happen, they just find another way. I would like to do that, getting creative when things don’t always work.
